Self Tan should ideally be left to develop between 4 to 8hrs (excluding Express) before showering off the tinted guide colour to reveal your natural-looking tan. The developed colour will then last between 3 and 10 days depending on which product was used and how the tan is maintained.
What happens if you leave self tanner on too long?
If you leave a self tanner on for too long, it can start to look patchy and uneven. No one wants to be walking around with a lingering tan. It can also cause your skin to become dry and flaky. If you're starting to see these signs, it's time to exfoliate and remove the fake tan.
Are you supposed to wash off St Tropez?
Shower off after 4 to 8 hours. Always check the instructions for your individual product before rinsing. Our St. Tropez Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse can be rinsed off in 1 to 3 hours, whereas our Purity Bronzing Water Mousse doesn't need to be rinsed.
Can I leave my self tanner on all night?
Let the self-tanner develop from 2 hours to overnight, depending on how deep you like your tan. To remove the guide colour/bronzer, shower in warm water, then pat skin dry. Repeat the process every 5 to 7 days or whenever you feel it's necessary. To maintain sunkissed skin results, moisturise daily.
Can I leave St Tropez on for 12 hours?
St. Tropez Gradual Tan contains less tanning agent than Self Tan, providing a light sunkissed glow. It does not contain a tinted guide colour which is ideal for discreet tanning every day and should still be left on the skin to develop over time (although you will see results from 4 to 12 hours).
