It's important to use an oil-free cleanser, since oil buildup won't allow the eyelash tint to adhere to your lashes. Clean your eye area thoroughly and make sure everything is completely dry before moving onto the next step.
Why is my eyelash tint not lasting?
The dyes are not permanent, so there will be a slow fading of color over time. Typically, our eyelashes fall out naturally at the rate of one to five lashes per day! This is another reason why eyelash tints don't last as long as you might think. Then, it takes another four to eight weeks to fully grow another eyelash.
How long should lash tint be left on for?
Lashes: As the colour darkens with time, leave on the lashes for 5-10 minutes to achieve the required colour. Eyebrows: Leave on the eyebrows for 1-2 minutes, checking every 30 seconds.
Can eyelash tinting go wrong?
Though eyelash tinting is a generally safe beauty treatment when performed by an experienced professional therapist, it can also cause severe injuries if the correct pre-treatment tests have not taken place, or if the tinting is carried out in a negligent manner.
What not to do before lash tint?
- Come to your appointment without any eye makeup.
- Avoid using waterproof mascara 2-3 days prior as it can leave a residue that may prevent lashes from adhering properly.
- Avoid using sunscreens or moisturizers prior to your appointment.
- Don't curl your lashes prior to your appointment.
Can you dye your eyelashes with charcoal?
Activated charcoal: Mixing charcoal with aloe vera will naturally darken your eyelashes if left on for a few minutes. The charcoal acts as the tinting agent, while the aloe vera moisturises your lashes and gives them a natural, healthy shine.
